Meizu watch announced in China as the new premium watch and it is the second smartwatch from the company. The first watch from Meizu was “Meizu MIX hybrid” which was launched back in 2016. The wearble features Snapdragon latest wear processor, eSIM support, and more.
As for the specifications, the Meizu Watch features a 1.78-inch AMOLED display with 2.5D gorilla glass protection, 368 x 448 pixels resolution, 500 nits brightness, and 500 nits brightness326ppi pixel density.
The smartwatch is build of 6-series aluminium alloy construction with a ceramic base while the strap is made of fluoro-rubber material. Under the hood, the new wearble is powered with Snapdragon 4100 chipset paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage.
The One Mind for Watch by Meizu is optimized to deliver a mobile-like experience on a smartwatch. The Meizu Watch features blood oxygen monitoring, heart rate tracking, sleeping tracking, pressure monitoring, breathing training, and sedentary reminder as well.
The smartwatch comes equipped with a 420mAh battery that is touted to provide a battery life of up to 36 hours in a single charge. The company also claimed that 15 minutes of charge can provide battery life for a full day. You can charge a Meizu watch with any USB Type-C charger.
The watch comes with various sport modes including indoor/outdoor running, walking, elliptical trainer, indoor/outdoor cycling, table tennis, badminton, bowling, rowing machine, climbing, skipping rope, and free training.
For connectivity, the Meizu Watch includes Bluetooth 4.2, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and NFC for contactless payments with the help of Meizu Pay. As mentioned earlier it comes with e-sim support so you can do voice calls with the help of the smartwatch only ( No phone needed ).
In terms of Dimensions, the smartwatch measures 46 x 38.4 x 12.97 mm and weighs 69 grams. The watch is running on Flyme OS for watch which is customized to deliver a good experience to the user.
In terms of price and availability, the Meizu Watch comes with a price tag of 1,499 yuan ( Rs. 17,000 approx ) and comes in two colour options Black and Azure. The smartwatch will go for sale on 1st June in China.
