Actor Kim Dong-jun, also a member of K-pop boy band ZE:A, began his mandatory military service on Monday. The actor's agency, MAJOR9, said the time and location of the entrance of the army boot camp will not be disclosed due to the surge in COVID-19 infections.

Kim also shared a picture of himself on social media, saying "I'll be back." He will begin four weeks of basic training at the boot camp, before being assigned to a base. The actor shared the news of his enlistment late last month during a livestream on VLive.

"I know a lot of people liked when I appeared in the military reality show Real Man and now I'll be joining the military for real," he said. "I'll serve my duty as a man of this country and will return as a more mature person."

Kim debuted as the lead vocalist of the nine-member group ZE:A with the single "Nativity" in 2010. He began acting with the short series "Crossing the Youngdo Bridge" in 2011, and has starred in various TV series and movies, including JTBC's political drama, "Chief of Staff," and action thriller, "A Company Man."

He also starred in reality shows, including SBS's food show, "Delicious Rendezvous," which he stepped down from last month due to his military duty.
