Vivo Y55s was revealed as the new budget 5G smartphone with the largest battery ever given in a Vivo smartphone. The handset comes with a MediaTek 5G chipset, waterdrop notch display, Dual rear camera, large battery, fast charging, and more. Later last month High resolution renders and specifications of the device surfaced online and yesterday it went official in China.
The Vivo Y55s features a 6.58 inches LCD display with Full-HD+ resolution and waterdrop notch. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core chipset that comes coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is accompanied by 8GB of RAM with 4GB Virtual RAM support and 128GB of UFS 2.1 onboard storage with no expandable storage option. The device is running on Android 11 with origin OS 1.0 on top.
In terms of camera, the Vivo Y55s boasts a dual rear camera that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera under the waterdrop notch. The smartphone is packed with a 6000mah battery and supports 18W fast charging support.
For connectivity, the Vivo Y55s includes 5G, 4G LTE, WLAN 2.4G/5G, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors onboard, the device sports a Gravity sensor, Light sensor, proximity sensor, gyro, electronic compass, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of dimensions, the smartphone measures 163.87 × 75.33 × 9.17 mm and weigh 199.8 grams.
As for the pricing and availability, the Vivo Y55s comes in a solo configuration of 8GB + 128GB priced at 1,699 yuan ( Rs. 20,200 approx ) and the company offered the smartphone in three color options namely Mirror Lake Blue, ceramic black, and Sakura Pink Meteor. The handset is currently available for pre-orders via Vivo online store in China.
