Oppo smartphone maker has come up with the newest model of Oppo’s Reno series, called Oppo Reno 5K. It is a mid-range smartphone that comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset, quad-rear cameras, and an AMOLED display. The device has been launched in China today, though the company has not announced yet the global release date of Oppo Reno 5K.
Oppo Reno 5K features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The smartphone carries a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It comes with a hole-punch screen and a curved-rectangular camera module on the back. The device will be available in two variants, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. Unfortunately, you can’t expand its storage capacity.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Oppo Reno 5K comes with a quad-rear camera setup featuring a 64MP main camera with an F1.7 lens, an 8MP secondary camera with an ultra-wide-angle F2.2 lens, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP portrait sensor. On the front side, the smartphone offers a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls. In terms of the Operating System, it is providing Android 11 with ColorOS 11 skin out of the box.
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 5K is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset along with Adreno 619 GPU. The battery is not too impressive, The smartphone is packed by a 4,300mAh battery. However, it is offering a 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charger, and you can charge it via USB Type-C port. In terms of dimensions, The smartphone is very light and thin, measuring 7.9mm thin and 172 grams weighs.
There is no information about pricing details yet, however, Oppo Reno 5K is set to go on sale from March 6 in the Chinese market. The smartphone is available in Starry Dream, Midnight Black, and Green Breeze color options. The price will be definitely different for both 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage.
