Xiaomi-owned brand POCO has launched the M4 Pro 4G model in India as its latest affordable offering. The smartphone joins the 5G variant which was announced in November last year 2021. It is priced starting at Rs. 14,999 and will go on sale from March 7 via Flipkart. The device has a MediaTek Helio G96 processor, a 90Hz AMOLED display, triple rear cameras, and 33W fast-charging support.
The POCO M4 Pro serves as the 4G version of POCO M4 Pro 5G model which was launched in India last year. It is geared toward those who do not want to spend extra money solely for 5G connectivity. The smartphone packs some premium features like a high refresh AMOLED screen and fast-charging technology, and is the lightest POCO smartphone ever at 179.5 grams.
The POCO M4 Pro 4G has a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone sports a punch-hole cut-out on the top-center, slim bezels, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a plastic body. The phone packs stereo speakers and is IP53 water-resistant.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the POCO M4 Pro 4G has a triple rear camera setup, featuring a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide snapper, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, there is a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calling. On the front software, it boots Android 11-based MIUI 13 OS out of the box.
Under the hood, the POCO M4 Pro 4G draws power from a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. For connectivity options, the smartphone offers support for VoLTE, a Type-C port, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi.
For pricing and availability, the POCO M4 Pro costs Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB/64GB model while the 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB variants are priced at Rs. 16,499 and Rs. 17,999, respectively. The smartphone comes in Power Black, Cool Blue, and POCO Yellow color options. It will go on sale from March 7 via e-commerce platform website Flipkart. Buyers can avail Rs. 1,000 off via HDFC Bank cards.
