Huawei has quietly launched a new mid-range smartphone, called the Nova 9 SE, in Malaysia. The new smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It is also available for pre-orders in the country until March 18. The device will get two storage variants — 128GB and 256GB, with 8GB RAM as standard.
The Huawei Nova 9 SE comes with a 6.78-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1,080x2,388 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. At the heart, the handset runs on Android 11 OS and is powered by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery. The device supports proprietary fast charging.
In terms of optics, the Huawei Nova 9 SE on the rear packs a quad camera setup featuring a 108-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture; an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture; a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies and vide calls, featuring a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The front camera also features autofocus.
On the front software, the Huawei Nova 9 SE runs EMUI 12 is based on Android 11 OS out of the box and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage. The smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 164.64 x 75.55 x 7.94mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 191.00 grams.
For connectivity options on the Huawei Nova 9 SE include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the smartphone include ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. . It was launched in Crystal Blue, Midnight Black, and Pearl White colours.
