Chinese tech company, Huawei has quietly launched a new mid-range smartphone, the Nova 9 SE, in Malaysia. It is priced at MYR 1,099 (roughly Rs. 20,100). The handset is also available for pre-orders in the country until March 18. As for the key highlights, it features a 108MP main camera, a 90Hz LCD display, a Snapdragon 680 chip, and 66W fast-charging support.
The Nova 9 SE is the latest addition to the Huawei Nova 9 series and joins the Nova 9 and Nova 9 Pro. The new smartphone will surely catch the eye of those looking for a feature-packed yet cost-effective smartphone. We do not know whether it will arrive in India or not.
The Huawei Nova 9 SE features a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ (1080x2388 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 270Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone bears a centrally-aligned punch-hole cut-out, slim bezels, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the rear, it has an oval camera unit.
Under the hood, the Huawei Nova 9 SE is fueled by a Snapdragon 680 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB (depending on the region) of internal storage. At the heart, it boots EMUI 12 OS out of the box. For connectivity, the handset offers support for dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, 4G, and a Type-C port.
In terms of optics, the Huawei Nova 9 SE flaunts a quad rear camera module, including a 108MP (f/1.9) main sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor, and a 2MP 9f/2.4) macro snapper. Up front, it sports a 16MP (f/2.2) selfie shooter. The smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support
For official pricing and availability in Malaysia, the Huawei Nova 9 SE is priced at MYR 1,099 (around Rs. 20,100) for the sole 8GB/128GB model. It is offered in Crystal Blue, Pearl White, and Midnight Black color options. The handset is up for pre-orders till March 18. Meanwhile, in China, the device will be available in two storage variants: 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.
