Chinese tech company, Realme has introduced the Pad Mini in the Philippines. The brand has finally made the device official in the country after it was listed online last week. As for the key highlights, the Pad Mini houses an 8.7-inch screen, a Unisoc Tiger T616 chipset, has two memory options, and a 6,400mAh battery with 18W charging.

Realme Pad Mini arrives as a more affordable version of the Realme Pad that was introduced by the company last year 2021. It is an entry-level offering and is aimed at people who want to consume content rather than create. The company is also providing LTE support on the tablet, which means you can have internet connectivity on the go.

The Realme Pad Mini has an 8.7-inch HD+ (800x1340 pixels) LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 5:3 and nearly 179ppi pixel density. The tablet features a rectangular screen with slim bezels and a top-centered front camera. The top and bottom bezels are slightly thicker than the side ones, probably for better handling of the device when used in landscape mode.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme Pad Mini gets a single 8MP (f/2.0) rear camera which can record 1080p videos at 30fps. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5MP (f/2.2) snapper on the front. In terms of battery, the tablet packs a 6,400mAh battery that supports 18W charging.

Under the hood, the Realme Pad Mini is powered by an octa-core UNISOC T616 processor with Mali-G57 GPU. It runs on Android 11 with Realme UI for Pad. The tablet is offered in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB configurations, with expandable storage of up to 1TB via micro-SD card. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a Type-C port.

As for official pricing and availability, Realme Pad Mini is available to order in the Philippines at a price-tag of PHP 8,490 (roughly Rs. 12,500) for the 3GB/32GB model and PHP 9,990 (nearly Rs. 14,700) for the 4GB/64GB variant. The tablet is offered in Grey and Blue color options.
