BTS 's " Proof " album has been certified gold in France. On Tuesday August 2, 2022, Soompi reported that France's National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing announced that BTS's "Proof" album had become certified gold. To be certified gold in France, an album must sell more than 50,000 copies.
This is not the first time a BTS album has been certified gold in France. The group first reached the milestone in December 2019 with the album “Map of the Soul: Persona,” followed by the albums “Map of the Soul: 7,” “BE,” and “Love Yourself: Tear.” That means, “Proof” is BTS' fifth album to achieve gold certification in France.
"Proof" itself is an anthology album that summarizes 9 years of BTS' career journey. Almost all of their discography since debut is on that album. In addition to achieving gold certification in France, BTS's "Proof" album also won the Japanese RIAJ Double Platinum certification because it has sold more than 500,000 copies in the cherry country.
The album was also certified ZPAV Gold for having surpassed 10,000 sales in Poland. In the United States, BTS's album "Proof" successfully debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart because it sold 314,000 copies. This is BTS's sixth album to top the Billboard 200.
Overall, BTS's "Proof" album has sold more than two million copies worldwide on the day of its release alone, which was June 10, 2022 and until now the number continues to grow. Congratulations to BTS on the success of their anthology album!
