Kim Sae Ron decided to step down as the main character in the KBS drama, 'Dear.M'. This young actress was supposed to co-act with NCT's Jaehyun, Bae Hyun Sung and Park Hye Soo. This news circulated on Monday October 12, 2020 and was confirmed by Gold Medalist, the agency that houses Kim Sae Ron.

It was not explained in detail the reason for Kim Sae Ron's resignation from the project that many fans had been waiting for. In a press release, Gold Medalist only said there were differences of opinion ahead of production. "We decided to leave the production of this drama after consulting about differences of opinion.

We will plan the next film while still supporting Dear.M," Gold Medalist wrote, as reported by Zapzee. 'Dear.M' is a spin-off of the popular web series 'Love Playlist'. This drama tells a romantic story about the search for a mysterious figure named 'M' on a campus. 'M' is wanted because he often uploads articles in online communities that make the whole campus excited.

Kim Sae Ron previously played Seo Ji Min in the fourth season of the series 'Love Playlist'. The 20-year-old actress planned to play the same character, namely the center of a college cheerleading group, for the 'Dear.M' spin-off, but decided to leave after a long debate. The series 'Dear.M' has entered the production period and filming has also started.

So the production team is trying to find a replacement as soon as possible.  Actress Roh Jeong Eui is said to be replacing the role played by Kim Sae Ron. However, the agency stated that the decision was not final, because it was still in the discussion stage. 'Love Playlist: Season 4' starring Kim Sae Ron and Bae Hyun Sung successfully gained popularity after being aired as a mini-series on the website.

Soompi launches, this series is highly anticipated for its continuation, because it gets quite high views, with a total of more than 500 million viewers. The spin-off series 'Dear.M' itself is no longer broadcast on the internet, but through the small screen by KBS. Scheduled to air in the first quarter of 2021.
