On Wednesday August 31, 2022, Soompi reported that Red Velvet 's "Zimzalabim" MV has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube! This makes “Zimzalabim” the eleventh MV (Music Video) for Red Velvet to reach the milestone after “Russian Roulette”, “Dumb Dumb”, “Bad Boy”, “Peek-A-Boo”, “Red Flavor”, "Psycho', “Ice Cream Cake,” “Power Up,” “Happiness,” and “Queendom.”

Red Velvet released the MV for “Zimzalabim” on June 19, 2019 at 6 p.m. KST, meaning that it took the MV three years, two months, and 11 days to reach 100 million views on YouTube. The MV for "Zimzalabim" is set in an amusement park. There the Red Velvet members ride a very high roller coaster. 

In addition, they also held a party at the amusement park while dancing to the rhythm of the song "Zimzalabim". After its release, the MV received positive reviews from several well-known music magazines. Tamar Herman from Billboard praised the MV "Zimzalabim" for successfully showing a fun carnival atmosphere accompanied by amazing choreography. 

Then Emlyn Travis of Buzzfeed magazine highlighted that Red Velvet's "Zimzalabim" MV contains a hefty element of fantasy and it's very beautiful. BuzzFeed Magazine even named "Zimzalabim" Red Velver the Best K-pop MV 2019. From the MV, everyone can see how Red Velvet is pushing creative boundaries in an unconventional way.  

Not only received many positive reviews from various music magazines, "Zimzalabim" also received nominations at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards and the 2019 Gaon Chart Music Awards.  In addition, "Zimzalabim" also won five wins on  Korean music shows . For additional information, "Zimzalabim" itself is an electropop song with a funky percussion melody . 

The song was composed and produced by Olof Lindskog, Daniel Caesar, Ludwig Lindell, and Hayley Aitken. "Zimzalabim" is arranged in the key of F major, with a tempo of 128 beats per minute.  In an interview with The Korea Herald, Daniel Caesar and Ludwig Lindell revealed that during the making of "Zimzalabim" they were heavily inspired by Girls' Generation's "I Got a Boy". 

Lyrically, "Zimzalabim" is a song that talks about people's struggles to achieve their dreams. Red Velvet's "Zimzalabim" is really well-conceived, from the choreography to the CGI effects used, everything is stunning. Therefore, it is not surprising that the MV "Zimzalabim" can surpass 100 million views on YouTube. Happy!
