SEVENTEEN is a boy group that has had a long career in the K-Pop world. Making their debut in 2015 through the song 'Adore U' they are now entering the 7th year of their career. Not many have survived this long in the tight K-Pop industry, not a few idol groups have ended up disbanding or leaving the agency.

That's why, SEVENTEEN also felt a fairly heavy pressure and burden when they discussed contract renewal with the agency. Quoting from Koreaboo on Friday August 19, 2022, SEVENTEEN recently had an interview session with Billboard , they revealed the pressures and burdens they experienced when they were about to renew their contract.

Joshua said, "Extending our contract with the agency can be said to be a difficult time." Contrary to the fans' expectations, their closeness didn't even make the contract extension process easier. They're not used to this kind of thing yet and they have to prioritize each member, while managing the legal, mental, and emotional hassles they face.

"Even though we are very close, extending the contract is a new thing for us. It is a very, very difficult process for us, very complicated," said Joshua. Vernon agreed with Joshua's statement. Even though they looked happy from the outside, they had a lot of worries on the inside. "It is a very difficult thing.

Not only as artists, but also as brothers, contract renewals are very complicated, that's why we feel stressed," said Vernon. Some members are even more troubled than others. Vernon himself chose to go with the flow rather than demand, he wanted the best for his other friends.

"I think there are some members who have a hard time compared to me, because I honestly just want to follow whatever the other members think is right," admitted Vernon. As a result, the SEVENTEEN members' friendship grew stronger, and their agency finally reached a conclusion that satisfies all parties involved. "We really had to guide ourselves through the process.

I am very grateful to all the members. Fortunately, in the end everything went smoothly," said Vernon. News of SEVENTEEN's contract renewal with their agency, Pledis Entertainment , was announced to fans in July 2021. This also makes CARAT (SEVENTEEN fans) feel very happy. They will still see their idols continue to promote together in the next five years.
