TXT Becomes the Fastest Boy Group to Surpass 2 Billion Streams on Spotify!

Reporting from the chartdata report on Friday August 19, 2022, TXT (TOMORROW X TOGETHER) recently succeeded in achieving new achievements. They have managed to surpass 2 billion streams on Spotify . This makes TXT the fastest K-pop boy group to surpass 2 billion streams in the history of the music player platform.

Here is a list of the Top 3 fastest K-pop artists to surpass 2 billion streams on Spotify. TWICE - 956 days, BLACKPINK - 1211 days, and TXT - 1259 days. In addition, TXT also managed to attract 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify while achieving a very impressive achievement on the Billboard 200 chart this week.

On August 16, 2022, Billboard revealed that TXT's latest mini album “minisode 2: Thursday's Child” has extended its record as the longest-charting 2022 K-pop album on the Billboard 200 chart, the chart that ranks the 200 most popular albums in the United States. TXT's mini album “minisode 2: Thursday's Child” charted for 13 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, making it the only K-pop album released this year to achieve this feat. 

This week, “minisode 2: Thursday's Child” ranked No. 175 on the Billboard 200, and TXT is now the second K-pop artist in history after BTS to have their album charted for 13 weeks on the Billboard 200. In addition, TXT is now side by side with BLACKPINK as a K-pop group that has accumulated a total of 31 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart with different albums. 

The mini album "minisode 2: Thursday's Child" also made its way back up to several other Billboard charts this week .  Even though it's been more than three months after its release, the mini album has again climbed to No. 6 on Billboard's World Albums chart, No. 7 on Billboard's Recent Album Sales chart, and No. 8 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart. 

TXT itself also rose back to the No. position. 65 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart this week, marking their 32nd week overall on the chart. As additional information, TXT will hold the "ACT: LOVESICK" concert in Jakarta, to be precise at the ICE Indonesia Conventions Exhibition, on October 12, 2022.
