On Saturday July 16, 2022, a person claiming to be the former assistant director of the Chinese drama Su Ji revealed in a video that Zhu Zhengting, the male lead, plays a big name and often arrives late during filming. Generally, being late 4-5 times is considered a lot. However, Zhu Zhengting was more than 20 times late. Due to this, the crew found it difficult to continue filming.
The former assistant director admitted that he disclosed this information because he and his family received attacks from Zhu Zhengting's fans. Therefore, he could no longer tolerate this. At the end, he added that celebrities are not God. Making small mistakes is common. As long as he wants to change, then it won't be a problem.
But why aren't people allowed to talk about the celebrity's mistakes? Due to the news that Zhu Zhengting played a big name during the filming of the drama Su Ji , the agency that oversees Zhu Zhengting, namely Yuehua Entertainment, finally released a clarification statement on Sunday July 17, 2022. This statement was uploaded through Yuehua Entertainment's official Weibo account.
The first point that was conveyed was that Zhu Zhengting always strictly adhered to the rules made by the crew during the filming process. He also always follows the arrangements made by the drama crew. There was absolutely no disrespectful behavior as expressed by someone claiming to be former assistant drama director Su Ji .
Finally, Yuehua Entertainment stated that the agency's lawyers have completed the work of a notary and collected relevant evidence to help carry out the investigation of the legal liability of the subjects involved in this matter. Zhu Zhengting himself is an actor and idol from China who made his acting debut through the film Marna in 2018.
He had previously been a contestant in the South Korean survival show , Produce 101. He participated in the second season which aired in 2017. At that time, he was known with his stage name, Jung Jung. In the drama Su Ji , Zhu Zhengting teamed up with Li Landi. The drama is scheduled to air through the Youku platform in 30 episodes.
