YG Entertainment's girl group, BLACKPINK, has again successfully broken a new record on YouTube with one of their music videos (MV). A few hours ago, BLACKPINK's MV entitled " WHISTLE " was known to have surpassed 800 million views on YouTube. This acquisition also makes "WHISTLE" as BLACKPINK's sixth MV to reach the 800 million mark.
Soompi launched, BLACKPINK's music video managed to surpass 800 million views on Monday September 12, 2022 at around 23.14 KST or 21.14 WIB. First released on August 8, 2016 at 8 p.m. KST or 6 p.m. KST, BLACKPINK's debut MV took about six years, one month, and four days to reach this new record.
Previously, five other BLACKPINK MVs, namely "DDU-DU DDU-DU," "BOOMBAYAH," "Kill This Love," "As If It's Your Last," and "How You Like That," also achieved the same gain. On YouTube Fan Response, Knowing this, the fans immediately filled the comments column for the "WHISTLE" MV upload on YouTube with their various congratulations.
