Stray Kids' Bang Chan has once again demonstrated his commitment to humanitarian causes. He donated a total of 200 million won to help rehabilitation patients in South Korea and flood victims in Nepal.
The donation was distributed through two institutions, each amounting to 100 million won. Bang Chan's agency, JYP Entertainment, stated that the funds were given to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital and the Korean Committee for UNICEF.
Part of the donation will be used to support the construction of a rehabilitation center at Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital. The facility will be tailored to the needs of the patients based on their age and medical condition.
Meanwhile, funds donated to the Korean Committee for UNICEF will be used to support relief operations for flood victims in Nepal. Bang Chan said the aid demonstrates his concern for the community facing difficult times. He hopes the donation will ease their burden.
"I want to offer some comfort to those who are going through difficult and tiring times," Bang Chan said in an official statement, quoted by The Korea Times on Saturday, September 19, 2026. "I sincerely hope that many people can return to their daily lives with peace of mind as soon as possible," he continued.
This social action is not the first time Bang Chan has done. On October 3, 2025, coinciding with his birthday, he also donated a total of 200 million won to support pediatric and adolescent patients and help children around the world.
In the same year, Bang Chan and other Stray Kids members also distributed aid to support the recovery process after the major forest fires that hit several areas in Gyeongsang, South Korea.
They also provided aid to support handling the impact of the fires that occurred in Hong Kong. Through this donation, Bang Chan again demonstrated his concern for humanitarian issues while providing support to communities in need.
