Red Velvet's Joy will return to acting through the latest Kakao TV drama. He will be paired with a rising young actor, Chu Young Woo. The two are confirmed to be a drama couple titled Unexpected Country Diary (literal title). Unexpected Country Diary is adapted from a web novel by Park Ha Min.
