IST Entertainment announced that VICTON's Heo Chan is currently being investigated by the police for driving under influence (DUI) on the morning of September 20. In an official statement on September 22, the agency also stated that Heo Chan will be ceasing all group and individual activities. Meanwhile VICTON will continue to carry out their scheduled activities with only five members. 

The agency said, “We want to be the first to tell the fans who care about VICTON about the embarrassing incident that happened recently. First, we would like to bow our heads and apologize for having to inform you of this bad news.” “On the morning of September 20, while returning home after hanging out with acquaintances, our artist Heo Chan was caught driving under the influence of alcohol by the police.” 

“Heo Chan is currently cooperating with the police investigation. It appears that once the investigation is complete, He will face disciplinary action such as revocation of his driving license, and he plans to cooperate with the police investigation until a final decision is made.” IST Entertainment continued, "Right now, Heo Chan is deeply regretful and is reflecting on the fact that he made a mistake that he should never have done."
