Lou 's film tells the story of a reclusive woman named Lou ( Allison Janney) who lives with a dog named Jax. In everyday life, Lou is classified as not many words. He only spoke as needed to his neighbors and those around him. As a woman who is quite old, Lou is quite physically strong. He is even still able to hunt and drag his own prey to the house.
Lou also doesn't seem to like being friendly, including Sherif Rankin ( Matt Crave n) who occasionally greets and invites him to make small talk. One day Lou went to the bank and withdrew all of his balance. The amount was large enough to surprise the bank clerk, but as usual, Lou answered simply that he knew it was a lot, because he had put it there.
Lou also stops by to see Hannah (Jurnee Smolletl) to collect rent for the house. Lou didn't budge either when Hannah was about to say she was in financial trouble and hoped for some respite. While driving his car, Lou almost hit Hannah's daughter, Vee ( Ridely Asha Bateman ). Instead of apologizing, Lou even told Hannah to teach her little daughter how to deal with a harsh world.
An annoyed Hannah couldn't do anything but accept Lou's unfriendly attitude. Hannah has a male friend named Chris (Greyston Holt) who occasionally comes to see her and Vee. As a child Vee often asked Hannah about her father and Hannah seemed to have a hard time explaining it. But Hannah said that her father loved Vee very much.
One rainy night, at his house, Lou seemed to put Jax into his room and burn a lot of documents. Then he was alone with a gun in his hand. Lou is surprised when suddenly Hannah comes and says that Vee is missing, kidnapped by his father. She was very scared because she knew how her ex-husband named Philip (Logan Marshall ) was.
Even so, he was determined to find Vee no matter what. Lou also helped her and this was quite surprising for Hannah, because every day Lou seemed like someone who didn't care about other people. Hannah was even more shocked when she realized that Lou was not like other women her age.
Although at the age appropriate to have grandchildren, Lou turns out to be very agile in the hunt for the kidnapped Vee and physical adventures in the dark forest at night accompanied by heavy rain and storms. Not to mention facing Philip's militarily trained comrades. Along the way, they experienced many things that made Hannah realize that she didn't know much about Lou.
The past and dark secrets are finally revealed and Hannah is stunned when she realizes who Lou really is. So, how will the story end and what are Lou's secrets? you can watch it on Netflix. Lou's film has been airing since September 23, 2022 with a duration of 1 hour 47 minutes and is intended for ages 16 and over.
