Jiho is known to be pursuing a career in acting after leaving the girl group OH MY GIRL. The woman born in 1997 made a breakthrough in the drama world with her first important role in the SBS drama "Buried Hearts". Jiho plays the role of Myung Tae Geum, a genius hacker with a sharp mind and a mischievous side.

At first glance, Tae Geum seems like an ordinary musical instrument shop owner. However, he is the heir to a private loan business and a top hacker with extraordinary skills. In episode 3 of “Buried Hearts,” which aired on February 28, 2025, Tae Geum finally took action.

At Seo Dong Joo’s (Park Hyung Sik) request , he joined a high-risk mission to hack Yeom Jang Sun’s (Heo Jun Ho) account worth 2 trillion won. Although Tae Geum is usually playful, he shows intense focus when it matters most, proving to be Dong Joo's most reliable ally. Tae Geum's dialogues are also show-stealing.

After successfully hacking, Tae Geum boldly says, "Come back with a big fanfare. And when Yeom Jang Sun loses her mind because of this, make sure to let me watch," making viewers love his mischievous and confident attitude. Jiho's acting also received praise for effortlessly making Tae Geum's bold personality shine.

Her chemistry with Hyung Sik was another highlight. It is known that Jiho, who debuted with OH MY GIRL in 2015 and left the group in 2022 to pursue acting, has proven that she made the right choice.  Jiho's natural expressions, smooth delivery, and strong presence in "Buried Hearts" have earned her praise.

Fans can't wait to see how her character will affect the drama's intense revenge arc. On the other hand, "Buried Hearts" received mixed reviews from journalists.  Despite its predictable plot about a huge money grab, the tightly woven story has a strong start by touching the darkest emotional depths of viewers.

“Buried Hearts’” focus on human greed and the pursuit of wealth is nothing new, and the intense kissing scenes packed into the first two episodes, which almost foreshadow the couple’s doomed future, may also feel a little out of place.
