YG Entertainment announced the next city for the 'BORN PINK' World Tour , BLACKPINK became the first K-Pop artist to hold a concert at the Mexico Stadium. Quoting from its official social media page, Wednesday February 2, 2023, BLACKPINK announced the next city they will visit for the 'BORN PINK' World Tour.
According to the information shared, this worldwide girl group will hold a concert in Foro Sol, Mexico on April 26, 2023. This concert makes BLACKPINK the first K-Pop artist to hold a concert at the Mexican Stadium. It is known, the Foro Sol stadium can accommodate as many as 65 thousand spectators.
Little information, Foro Sol itself was built in 1993. Its location is near the Mexico City International Airport. This stadium has been visited by a number of major artists, namely Madonna who became the first world-class artist to appear at this stadium on November 12, 1993. Then, there was Coldplay who held shows for 4 days, namely on April 3, 4, 6 and 7 2022.
These four shows made the band the first international group in history to play four shows on a single tour, amassing a crowd of 259,591. Not only Mexico, BLACKPINK also announced that they would hold shows in two cities in Australia. First, BLACKPINK will visit Melbourne on June 10 and 11 2023, then they will go to Sydney to hold performances for 2 days, namely June 16 and 17 2023.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently on their World Tour titled 'BORN PINK'. The concert, which started in Seoul in October 2022 — has now made its way to several cities across Asia. At the Abu Dhabi stop on January 28 2023, the girl group consisting of Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa will continue their world tour in March, to be precise on March 4 which starts in Kuala Lumpur.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK will head to Jakarta to hold performances for 2 days, to be precise on March 11 and 12 2023 which are located at the Bung Karno Main Stadium. BLACKPINK, which made a comeback in September 2022, has successfully amazed fans and netizens alike.
