TWS' Jihoon has come with sad news. His father has passed away. This news was announced by Pledis Entertainment management on Monday (January 12, 2026). In a post on Weverse, the TWS agency provided an explanation regarding Jihoon's father's health condition.
"It is with deep sadness that we announce that TWS' Jihoon's father passed away last night (January 11, 2026) after his health condition worsened due to illness," Pledis said. Management gave Jihoon time to grieve, gather with other family members, and hold a funeral procession.
Pledis also asked fans to support Jihoon so the plot twist singer can get through the grieving phase as comfortably and as well as possible. "Jihoon is currently at the funeral home, and the funeral will be held with family and close friends. We ask for your warm support and time to grieve with his family.
We offer our condolences during this difficult time. May he rest in peace," Pledis concluded. Jihoon debuted as a member of Pledis Entertainment's boy band, TWS, in January 2024. Since their debut, the group has become immediately popular and viral thanks to their song, Plot Twist.
Since their debut, TWS has displayed a cheerful youthful image with relatable storytelling. Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin are currently gaining popularity with songs like "If I'm S," "Can You Be My N?" and "OVERDRIVE."
