Jang Ki Yong has been offered the latest Korean drama before completing his military service. The actor is targeted to be the main player in the Korean drama Though I'm Not A Hero. After carrying out state duties for approximately two years, Jang Ki Yong will be demobilized as a soldier. 

He started his military service last Monday August 23, 2021, before the broadcast of the Korean drama Now We're Breaking Up. At that time, SBS issued a strategy so that Jang Ki Yong was still involved in the promotion of the Korean drama Now We're Breaking Up with his co-star Song Hye Kyo. 

The Now We're Breaking Up press conference was recorded before the broadcast of the first episode on Friday November 12, 2021. Now fans can look forward to Jang Ki Yong 's return after completing his military service. The YG Entertainment agency announced that Jang Ki Yong would be discharged from the military camp on Wednesday February 22, 2023.

Even though he hasn't finished his mandatory military service, Jang Ki Yong has received an offer to star in the latest Korean drama Though I'm Not A Hero which carries the fantasy genre. This news has also been confirmed by YG Entertainment. "It's true that actor from our agency Jang Ki Yong accepted the casting offer Though I'm Not A Hero. 

However, his appearance has not been confirmed, and he is still reviewing the offer," said Jang Ki Yong's agency statement, as reported by Soompi. Synopsis of the Korean drama Though I'm Not A Hero follows the story of a supernatural family who loses their super powers. 

This fantasy drama was worked on by director Cho Hyun Tak, who was behind the success of Snowdrop and SKY Castle. If you accept the offer to star in the Korean drama Though I'm Not A Hero, Jang Ki Yong will play a superhero who has lost his superpowers due to a modern disease. The actor last starred in the Korean dramas Now We're Breaking Up and My Roommate is a Gumiho in 2021.
