The airline Korean Air is working with YG Entertainment, becoming the official sponsor of BLACKPINK . Reported by South Korean media Fnnews on Wednesday March 15, 2023, the airline Korean Air officially signed a partnership with the YG Entertainment agency. The MOU was signed by the two at their headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. 

The activity was attended by Jang Seong Hyun, vice president of Korean Air and Hwang Bo Kyung, co-CEO of YG Entertainment. Korean Air and YG Entertainment work together to spread South Korean culture. This collaboration is expected to be able to increase brand status globally.  Utilizing content from online and offline channels shared between Korean Air and YG. 

" Although the aviation and entertainment industries are different fields, Korean Air's solid global network and YG's accumulation of K-pop content will be used as a force to create synergy, " said Seong Hyun. Korean Air will also officially become the official sponsor of BLACKPINK's future world tour.

As is known, BLACKPINK is currently holding their second world tour ' BORN PINK ' Through the MOU agreement, Korean Air plans to provide discounted tickets and additional free baggage allowance to tour staff and BLACKPINK members.  They will get it till August this year for their touring purposes. As a form of reciprocity, YG Entertainment plans to provide concert ticket promos, posters and autographed CDs for Korean Air SKYPASS members. 

During the trip using Korean Air, passengers will also get to watch a special video message from Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rose on the plane. Regarding future cooperation plans, Korean Air and YG Entertainment will find tangible and intangible forms of cooperation as well as the intellectual property of the two companies. 

Meanwhile YG Entertainment spreads Korean culture through music. Korean Air expands Korean culture by participating in Korean dramas, the latest entertainment shows, and K-pop on its in-flight AVOD. Korean Air is also introducing Korean dishes on various menus in the hope of promoting Korean culture overseas.
