SM Entertainment's boy group, EXO, has just successfully held a solo fanmeeting in Japan titled 'EXO CHANNEL: THE BEST' on April 15 and 16 2023 yesterday. Quoting from Naver on Monday April 17, 2023, taking place at Veruna Dome, Saitama, Japan, EXO's solo fan meeting titled 'EXO CHANNEL: THE BEST' was successfully flooded with around 50,000 fans.
This is EXO's first fanmeeting after four years and ten months when they last held a fanmeeting in Japan in June 2018. Even though it had been a long time since they greeted their fans in Japan through a fanmeeting event like this, EXO was still able to prove its popularity with the large number of fans who came to fill the venue for two days in a row.
On this occasion, EXO did many things and interacted more closely with fans through quizzes, talks, fun games, and also stage performances that fans really missed. A number of games, such as mission runs, ball throwing, guessing body demonstrations, and rock paper scissors, are also performed with enthusiasm and add to the excitement.
Not only that, EXO specifically performed their Japanese-language songs such as 'Love Me Right (Romantic Universe), 'Coming Over', and a number of their hits such as 'Growl', 'Love Shot', and a new song titled 'Let Me In'. EXO also performed a special song dedicated to fans in Japan, namely the song titled 'BIRD' which was again performed with eight members.
This performance of course made fans feel touched, because they were finally able to listen to the best version of the song complete with eight members, because previously the song was only performed with six members (minus DO and Xiumin who were currently carrying out their military service).
The song 'BIRD (The Best Version)' which was previously released in 2019, is now re-released and sung by 8 EXO members, and can be heard on all online music platforms globally. Having successfully held a series of solo fanmeetings in Japan and South Korea, fans in other countries also hope that EXO will visit them through fanmeeting tours in several countries.
