A member of the South Korean girl group IVE, Jang Won Young 's older sister, is reported to be making her debut as an actress. Quoting from Soompi on Friday April 7, 2023, IVE's Jang Won Young will now become an agency partner with his older sister named Jang Da Ah.
Jang Da Ah is reported to be making her debut as an actress soon under the auspices of the agency King Kong by Starship, which is a subsidiary agency of Starship Entertainment that focuses on acting. Meanwhile, Jang Won Young with IVE is under the auspices of the Starship Entertainment agency. That way Jang Won Young and his older sister Jang Da Ah will be under the same management auspices.
Responding to this news, representatives from King Kong by Starship gave their response, and confirmed the news about Jang Da Ah joining their agency. "Jang Da Ah will start promoting gradually with us. Starting with shooting advertisements to introduce his image to the public," said King Kong by Starship.
They added, "After starting his career as a commercials star, he will expand his wings into the world of acting." King Kong by Starship itself is an agency for a number of top South Korean actresses and actors including, Lee Kwang Soo, Song Seung Heon, Lee Dong Wook, and Yoo Yeon Sook.
Jang Da Ah, who was born in 2001, is three years older than her younger sister Jang Won Young. Jang Won Young himself has been with Starship since he took part in the 'Produce 48' survival show in 2018. Meanwhile, IVE is currently preparing for a comeback for their first full album titled 'I've IVE' on April 10, 2023.
Preceding the release of their first full album, IVE has also released a pre-released single titled 'Kitsch' which successfully dominated all local music charts in South Korea. Meanwhile, IVE fans also showed their support for Jang Won Young's sister's debut as an actress. They admit that they can't wait for Jang Da Ah's role for her first drama.
