SM Entertainment has revealed details regarding plans for their latest project, SM 3.0. In a number of videos, SM officials reveal 4 Key Development Strategies, starting from IP strategy (intellectual property covering production to multi-label), business strategy (streaming music to IP licensing), expansion strategy, and global investment.
One thing that caught the most attention was when Lee Sung Su and Tak Young Jung, as co-CEOs of SM Entertainment, revealed the promotion plans for the artists in the SM 3.0 project. In 2023, SM promises many comebacks and concerts from its artists.
EXO, SHINee, Red Velvet, NCT 127, NCT Dream are scheduled to release full albums while aespa is set to release a new mini album in 2023. Taeyeon and Hyoyeon SNSD, EXO's Suho, DO, Chen, and many other artists are scheduled to release solo projects again in 2023.
Total SM Entertainment promises 17 solo artists and sub-units that will release music in 2023. Not only that, they also promise a world tour for Super Junior, Baekhyun, Red Velvet, WayV, to aespa, SNSD's Taeyeon Asia tour, fanmeeting for SHINee to EXO.
Another thing of concern is the continuation of the NCT expansion system. Previously, it was known that Lee Soo Man revealed plans to debut NCT in Jakarta, Hollywood, and Saudi Arabia. However, this time SM officially confirmed that NCT would end the expansion system.
They will debut NCT Tokyo in 2023 and will be the last sub-unit to be debuted. This allows agencies to focus more on sub-units that have already been debuted. However, it has not yet been revealed when fans can look forward to NCT Tokyo's debut.
