NCTzen (NCT's official fandom name) will definitely be very happy next month. NCT Dream will be coming back with the release of their latest album, Fun! SM Entertainment announced through an official release received by media news outlets, NCT Dream will launch their third full album entitled ISTJ.
This title is inspired by a type of MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) which is a combination of several characters: Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging. A person with the ISTJ personality type is labeled as an Inspector which can be interpreted as a supervisor or examiner.
The combination of the four characters above makes an Inspector prefer to focus their energy on himself, prefer to see details, be very logical and put aside emotions, and choose to act carefully. It has not yet been explained more about the ISTJ concept that NCT Dream will present on their latest album.
It is possible that there will be continuity between the album title, tracklist, and the lyrics that will be conveyed in their songs later. ISTJ's album will contain 10 new songs of various genres with the main song titled ISTJ. One of the b-sides that will be used as a pre-release single titled Broken Melodies will be released sooner, namely on June 19, 2023 at 16.00 WIB.
The new album itself will be released July 17, 2023. ISTJ was released 1 year and 2 months later from NCT Dream's repackaged album 'Beatbox' in May 2022. Throughout the past year, NCT Dream has released Glitch Mode, Beatbox, to the special winter album Candy which has become one of the fans' favorites.
The total sales of NCT Dream's albums last year were also fantastic. According to data shared by SM Entertainment, NCT Dream sold more than 5.61 million album copies throughout 2022. Apart from that, they have also held 41 concerts in 23 cities around the world since September 2022 through The Dream Show 2.
Along with the announcement of this comeback, SM Entertainment released a teaser photo of NCT Dream together with the number 7 jersey. Seven members were seen together at the 'Dream Stadium' with a scoreboard displaying a row of mysterious numbers. Can you solve it, can you?
