Actor Im Siwan recently donated 30 million won to help residents affected by floods in South Korea. According to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association on Monday July 17, 2023, Im Siwan learned about the news that heavy rains caused great damage in several areas, and hastily participated in the donation while he was filming.

"I want to express my deepest condolences to everyone affected by the heavy rains," said Im Siwan as quoted by Herald Pop on July 17, 2023. Meanwhile, General Secretary of Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, Kim Jeong-hee said, "I thank actor Si-wan Siwan who participated in the donation for the desperate victims of the flood damage. We will do our best to help them return to everyday life.

" This is not the first time Im Siwan has shown his generosity. Last year, he donated 20 million won to victims of the 2022 Korean flood and helped earthquake victims in Turkey with a donation of 10 million won.  In fact, Im Siwan once donated the fee he got from the film "Unlocked" because he felt guilty to the public for playing the villain character in the film.

Meanwhile, the generous actor was recently lined up as one of the stars for the popular Netflix series, "Squid Game 2" along with a number of other top actors, such as Kang Ha Neul, Gong Yoo, Lee Byung Hun, Lee Jung Jae, and many more. Apart from Im Siwan, recently the couple Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin also donated 100 million won each to help victims of flood damage in Korea.

The flash floods and landslides that occurred in South Korea recently were caused by very high rainfall, resulting in severe damage in several areas. The blockage of the tunnel for car roads has also caused the number of fatalities to increase due to delays in the evacuation process.
