South Korean girl group, BLACKPINK and YG Entertainment are currently in the spotlight due to contract extension issues. This started when rumors emerged stating that Lisa would not renew her contract with YG Entertainment. But is this true?

Reporting from Xport News, on Friday September 15, 2023, rumors regarding Lisa not getting a contract extension spread on September 15, 2023. This unclear news apparently triggered huge losses. This issue caused the share price of the YG Entertainment agency to fall sharply.

However, this rumor is not groundless. Some time ago it was known that online there was first news stating that Lisa was offered a down payment of 50 billion won, but chose to reject it. This is what underlies the rumor that Lisa has not extended her contract with YG Entertainment.

In fact, since last July, there has been news about the possibility of Lisa's contract not being renewed. Reporting from Soompi, on Friday September 15, 2023, the news began with an unnamed Chinese agency reporting that they had difficulty scheduling Lisa's appearance at an event because Lisa's contract extension with YG was uncertain.

At that time, YG Entertainment clarified that the difficulty in providing a schedule occurred because BLACKPINK was conducting a world tour. Apart from that they also have a solid series of individual activities. However, even though there is clarification from YG Entertainment, new speculation still emerges that cannot be controlled.

Furthermore, new rumors again sparked speculation among many people. A news release stated that Lisa had received a contract offer with a larger value from another agency. Until finally he decided to refuse an extension with YG Entertainment.

However, on September 15, 2023, YG Entertainment again provided clarification by confirming " Lisa's contract extension is currently under discussion. None of the rumors have been confirmed. ” Meanwhile, Lisa, who is a member of BLACKPINK, is scheduled to hold the closing concert for the 'BORN PINK World Tour' on the 16th and 17th of this month at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
