BTS's Jungkook spoke with fans after the group's performance in Spain. During the session, he discussed various topics, including his response to fans' requests to speak in English on a live broadcast held on June 28, 2026. 

Jungkook firmly responded to the comments by stating, "I love you all so much, but please don't ask me to speak English. You should try learning Korean!" He also added, "I'm learning English at my own pace, okay? 

I want to speak English and Spanish too, but I can't, so stop asking. I can't even speak Korean well, and I'm Korean!" Jungkook's comments surprised many fans, but also expressed support. 

Many Korean netizens agreed with his statement and were happy he was able to take a firm stance. In the comments section, many began commenting in Korean, showing their support for Jungkook's statement.

One fan commented, "So many comments are in Korean. This is hilarious. Korean is amazing. There's nothing that can't be expressed in Korean." 

This shows how much fans value their language and culture. Netizens also offered various positive reactions, such as, "People whose native language is English are so rude." 

And, "Weverse has a paid translation service, so just use that." These comments show how the culture of communication between fans and idols can improve when there is mutual respect.
