Ex-Boyfriend's Kwangmin Will Release Solo Mini Album on September 27, Surprise Fans

Shocking news comes from rapper BF, Kwangmin will release his solo album entitled "Awwww." Quoting from the idol's official Instagram account (@kmboykm) on Thursday September 21, 2023, Kwangmin will release his first mini album on September 27, 2023. 

The mini album which marks his solo debut will contain 6 songs, namely "Mayday!" feat Sungjae BtoB , “Red Light,” feat N'oa “Verbenero,” “Never Ever,” “Chamomile Love,” feat Jeongmin BF and “Why?” feat Ricky TeenTop with “Mayday!” as the main song. This collaboration between Kwangmin and TeenTop's Ricky and BtoB's Sungjae makes Kpop fans feel nostalgic. 

The reason is that BtoB's Sungjae, TeenTop's Ricky and BF's Kwangmin are members of the South Korean TV program entitled Pretty 95S and Lovely 95S. Both are South Korean TV programs specifically for the Sungjae BtoB gang with their 1995 colleagues. 

Apart from the three idols mentioned above, the Kpop idols who were members of the 1995 gang were models Baek Kyungdo, Youngmin (Kwangmin's twin brother) and BF's Minwoo. Kwangmin himself is a member of BoyFriend , the second generation boy group made by Starship Entertainment which debuted in 2011 with the song "Boyfriend." 

BoyFriend's debut received high enthusiasm from South Korean and international netizens because it was the first time in the history of a Kpop group to have twin members. Unfortunately, this group officially disbanded in 2019. 

However, even though they have disbanded, the six members of BoyFriend, namely Donghyun, Hyunseong, Jeongmin, Youngmin, Kwangmin and Minwoo, decided to redebut with a new group name, namely BF, which carries out many activities in Japan and South Korea under the auspices of the West Time Entertainment agency . 

So far, BF has released 2 mini albums, namely, "Curtain Call" and "Seolhwa." Apart from that, BF members are also active in South Korea as solo artists. Donghyun himself is active as a musical actor, Kwangmin as a band vocalist, Youngmin as a kdrama actor and model, Minwoo as a YouTuber and soloist, Hyunseong and Jeongmin as solo singers.
