Jung Soo Jung or familiarly known as F(x)'s Krystal opened a new path through the film " Cobweb ". She discussed his latest film in an interview conducted recently at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. The film "Cobweb" is set in the 1970s, where the Korean film industry was heavily censored by the government.
Director Kim (played by Song Kang Ho) makes a very successful film debut, but he finds inspiration through a dream to create an alternative ending for his film. He also decided to remake the film to make it a masterpiece. Krystal Jung plays Han Yoo Rim, a new actress whose popularity is rapidly rising on Cobweb.
When invited as one of the "Cobweb" players, Krystal admitted that she was very flattered. Director Kim Jee Woon personally offered him the role. “Even though it was only a short appearance, of course I wanted to take on the role. "Even before reading the script, I thought this would be a good experience," said Krystal Jung as quoted from KBIZoom on Thursday September 28, 2023.
According to Krystal, she was interested after reading the "Cobweb" script. He also felt very comfortable when he was among the crew, including senior actors and directors on the set. Regarding Han Yoo Rim's character, Krystal shared, “I asked the director how to play Han Yoo Rim without making her seem unlikable.
I asked if I was using too many facial expressions or if he seemed too distracting. The director said that because he was passionate about his work, he should be portrayed like this. I find that reassuring.” Furthermore, Krystal expressed her wishes for her future activities, especially in the entertainment industry.
“I haven't tried melodrama. I didn't intentionally avoid a singing career because the timing wasn't right. "This era doesn't seem to have too much prejudice against idols who act," he said. Kystal Jung reveals the difference between acting and singing. The member of the girl group f(x) said that singing and acting are quite different, but they complement each other.
"During my time as a singer, I learned about team activities, and in acting, I don't do it alone," he said, adding that his dancing skills also help him when doing action scenes.
