Im Siwan who recently appeared in Unlocked will also be part of the sequel to Netflix's mega-hit show, Squid Game. When asked what made him agree to the Squid Games sequel project, the Road to Boston star bluntly answered that he was sure he would accept the offer without hesitation.
In a recent interview, he revealed all the gossip about his upcoming project. Recently in an interview, Im Siwan revealed why he did not hesitate to agree to the second season of Squid Game in an honest conversation. Initially, Squid Game season 1 viewers were excited to hear about the news of the sequel to the mega-hit drama.
Apart from the original cast, several new faces were also seen including Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul , Park Gyu Young , and more. Im Siwan revealed that he resembles senior actor Lee Byung Hun who is also one of the personalities he monitors.
For Im Siwan, it was an honor to work with him on this famous show. Hence, that was one of the reasons why he agreed to the project. Im Siwan further added that he wants to further explore this genre and master it as an actor. Currently Squid Games is in the production stage with a target broadcast in 2024.
Im Siwan is a South Korean actor and singer. Previously he was a member of the K-pop group ZE:A with Park Hyung Sik but the group disbanded in 2017. Im Siwan's singing ability is as good as his acting. He is known for his acting in projects such as The Attorney and Misaeng: Incomplete Life.
His latest projects include Emergency Declaration, Run On, Tracer, Summer Strike, and more. Apart from starring in Squid Games season 2, he will also be seen in the upcoming sports film Road To Boston which will be released on September 27, 2023.
