Throughout October to early November this year, PENTAGON members were busy leaving Cube Entertainment. These include Yeo One, Yanan, Yuto, Kino, Wooseok, and Hongseok. So the last to terminate the contract with Cube, Hongseok now has a 'new house'.
Hongseok officially joined ANDMARQ artist management. ANDMARQ is an artist agency headquartered in Gangnam, Seoul. This management oversees a number of names such as Kim Hye Jun, Jang Young Nam, Baek Jin Hee, Kim A Hyun, Ye Won, Kim Hyeon Soo, Shin Si A, Ryu Deok Hwan, and Jin Seo Yeon.
Management announced Hongseok's joining via all their official social media platforms, as well as a welcome for Hongseok. "We are very happy to be part of the new beginning of Hongseok's career," they wrote in the upload seen on Wednesday November 22, 2023.
"We will actively support Hongseok, who is loved by the public through music, acting and variety shows, so that he can display his abilities to the maximum in these various fields," continued ANDMARQ. Hongseok started his career in the entertainment industry as a member of PENTAGON since 2016.
Throughout his career in the music industry, PENTAGON has created hit songs and formed a fandom called UNIVERSE. Finally they released a mini album in Japan entitled Pado. This album will automatically be PENTAGON's last release with a complete lineup of 9 members.
Outside of PENTAGON, Hongseok has made many appearances in the world of South Korean entertainment through various TV programs and films such as The Love That's Left. The owner of the real name Yang Hong Seok has also starred in the Korean TV/drama series entitled Phoenix 2020, Move to Heaven, and Blue Birthday.
Even though most of their members are no longer under Cube Entertainment, PENTAGON insists they are not disbanding. It's just that there is no certainty whether after this they will still be able to use the name PENTAGON and carry out activities as a group.
