South Korean girl group, BLACKPINK has agreed to trust YG Entertainment to manage their group's activities. But for individual activities, BLACKPINK members, namely Lisa, Jisoo, Rosé, and Jennie prefer to take care of it individually.
Before the agreement between YG Entertainment and BLACKPINK was announced regarding the group contract, it was reported that Rosé was the only surviving member. However, on Friday December 29, 2023 management issued their latest statement regarding the individual contracts of BLACKPINK members.
"BLACKPINK recently extended their contract with YG for group activities, and we have agreed not to continue any other contracts for individual members' activities," they said in a statement. "We will do our best to support BLACKPINK's activities and encourage their individual activities with a warm heart. Thank you," concluded YG Entertainment.
This announcement was made by management after Jennie previously inaugurated her own agency called OA (ODD ATELIER). Jennie informed fans about this new management via an upload on social media.
"I am also very excited about what will happen next, especially since I will start my journey in 2024 with my own management that I founded called OA. Please show lots of love for my new beginning with OA and of course BLACKPINK, thank you," continued Jennie.
Meanwhile, the new management for the other BLACKPINK members has not yet been notified by each of them. There is news that Lisa and Jisoo will set up a private agency like Jennie, but this news has not been confirmed. Meanwhile for Rosé, fans are still waiting for further notification.
