SHINee's Taemin officially joins the Big Planet Made Entertainment agency. This news was conveyed by Big Planet Made Entertainment on Monday April 1, 2024 which announced that Taemin had just signed an exclusive contract with the agency. Previously, Taemin had just ended his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment last March.
It was confirmed that the member of the boy group SHINee would no longer continue his contract after being with the agency for 16 years. However, SM Entertainment confirmed that SHINee's group activities would still be regulated by the agency without changes. So, only Taemin's solo activities will continue with Big Planet Made Entertainment.
On the other hand, Big Planet Made Entertainment has just issued a statement regarding the news of Taemin's exclusive contract. "We recently signed an exclusive contract with singer Taemin, whose activities are unmatched both as SHINee's main dancer and as a solo artist," the agency said.
"We will actively support Taemin's various activities in his music career, and we will do our best so that he can soar in wider places and in various directions," he continued. Closing the announcement, the agency asked for support and love from fans to welcome Taemin with a new start.

Meanwhile, Big Planet Made Entertainment is the home of a number of famous South Korean artists, such as VIVIX, Ren ex-NU'EST member, Ha Sung Woon, Lee Mu-jin, Huh Gak, BE'O, and others. Recently, comedian Lee Soo-geun also just signed a contract with the agency.
Taemin's joining was also celebrated with a series of new profile photos uploaded by the agency. Taemin will release his personal official page as an artist under Big Planet Made Entertainment on April 1, 2024 at 15.00 KST or 13.00 WIB.
