A number of world celebrities have begun to openly criticize the ceasefire action in the Gaza Strip, Palestine. These protests have become increasingly loud since Israel attacked Gaza, including the refugee camp in Rafah. One of these celebrities, Dua Lipa, is active in voicing this issue on personal social media. 

The singer of the song New Rules has appeared vocal in condemning the Israeli attack on Rafah in the last few weeks. Dua Lipa even emphasized that Israel did not hesitate to carry out genocide in Rafah by burning civilians and children. 

"Burning children alive cannot be justified," said Dua Lipa on Instagram on Tuesday May 28, 2024. "The whole world is moving to stop the Israeli genocide. Please show your solidarity with Gaza," he continued. On the other hand, actor Pedro Pascal also actively expressed support by uploading a poster with the words "All Eyes on Rafah" on Instagram.

The poster also became popular with many actors, singers and models also uploading similar posts on their respective Instagram Stories. Some of them, namely Bridgerton players Nicola Coughlan and Sam Phillips, Bella Hadid, Ester Exposito, and Aaron Dressner. Singer Ariana Grande even appeared to voice this issue on Instagram Story. 

He re-uploaded humanitarian donations for children in Gaza spearheaded by Nicola Coughlan and the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. In fact, singer Kehlani took firm action by responding to comments from a number of parties who claimed the issue was political.

"This is not political. This is a matter of humanity. If liberating Palestine is not your stance, you should not blame politics. You need to find out about humanity," said Kehlani on Instagram. Previously, Israeli military forces sent air strikes on the refugee camp located in Rafah on Sunday May 26, 2024. 

This incident killed 45 people with 200 people injured. The air attack also succeeded in causing fires in civilian tents, killing children, women and the elderly. This attack occurred several days after the ICJ ordered Israel to stop military operations in Rafah on Friday May 24, 2024.
