BTS's Jimin has launched the pre-release song and music video for 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)' from his second new album 'MUSE' on June 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. KST on various music sites and HYBE Labels' YouTube channel. This song was inspired by The Beatles' album 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'.
The title song 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band' is the name of the imaginary team that Jimin formed with producers Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and EVAN, who worked together during the production of Jimin's first solo album 'FACE'.
The theme of the song's lyrics is 'expression of love'. Jimin was inspired by the imaginary flower 'Smeraldo', which has the flower language of 'unspoken sincerity', and complements the sweet lyrics about confession and finding love on behalf of those who cannot express their feelings.
The music video is made like a musical, where the MV begins with the introduction of Jimin, producer Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and EVAN who join as the 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band' team. The scene of Jimin transforming into the band's vocalist and his fellow musicians performing together is truly impressive.
In addition, the scene of Jimin with Loco participating in the performance radiated cheerful energy and made viewers smile. Watching the performance of Jimin, the children and dancers, reminds us of the moments when they played on the playground as children.
Jimin even conveys an overwhelming sense of emotion with the large-scale group dance scene that appears in the second half. Wearing a black suit, he brings a pleasant excitement with his charming voice and cheerful appearance from the beginning to the end of the song video.
