G-Dragon has been appointed as a visiting professor at the Korea Advanced Institute Of Science and Technology (KAIST). Quoting from Soompi on Wednesday June 5, 2024, G-Dragon received a letter of appointment as a visiting professor at KAIST's Department of Mechanical Engineering after participating in the 'Innovate Korea 2024' talk show held at KAIST's head office in Daejeon.

'Innovate Korea 2024' was an event that was also attended by G-Dragon, Galaxy Corporation CEO Choi Yong Ho, and Lee Kwang Hyung, president of KAIST. The event was organized by KAIST and the National Science, Technology Research Council, and Herald Media Group. In particular, G-Dragon will discuss the future of K-Pop, including the combination of AI technology and Korean content. 

Previously, he had also signed an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation and had shown his interest in AI technology. The singer of the song 'Crooked' also attended the Consumer Electronics Show 2024 (CES 2024), which is the largest electronics and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas last January.

G-Dragon's appointment as a visiting professor is valid for two years, namely until June 4 2026. In addition, he will also act as KAIST's global ambassador and will help strengthen KAIST's promotion abroad. “It is an honor to be a visiting professor at KAIST, an institute that produces many genius scientists.

G-Dragon will stand at the podium to give a special lecture on leadership for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as share his experiences as an artist.
