Actor Yoo Ah In, who is currently on trial for drug use, has also been accused of sexually assaulting a man in his 30s. According to a police report on July 26, the Seoul Yongsan Police Station received a complaint and charged Yoo Ah In with sexual assault.
Under Korean law, homosexual sexual assault is classified as pseudo-rape. A police spokesperson stated, "We have not contacted the defendant (Yoo Ah In). We plan to call him in for questioning soon."
Yoo Ah In was accused of sexually assaulting a man, referred to as Mr. A (30), while he was sleeping in an office in Yongsan District on July 14, 2024. Mr. A reportedly realized the assault had occurred upon waking up and filed a police report the following day.
The office where the incident occurred is believed to not belong to Yoo Ah In or Mr. A, but to a third party.
Another man was also reportedly present at the scene. Given that Yoo Ah In has already been prosecuted for habitual drug use, police are investigating the possibility that he committed the assault while under the influence of drugs.
