Min Hee-jin speaks out after reportedly stepping down from her position as CEO of ADOR . Min Hee-jin is represented by her attorney claiming that she was unilaterally removed from her position as CEO for the NewJeans agency. The party claimed that Min Hee-jin never submitted her resignation, so the announcement that was circulated was called a lie.
"Currently, there are reports circulating in the media that Min Hee-jin is stepping down as CEO, but will remain in his position as internal director and continue to contribute to NewJeans," said a representative of the firm SHIN & KIM LLC, reported by SPOTV on Tuesday August 28, 2024.
"The decision was based on information that had been shared by the board of directors, which was clearly a lie. CEO Min Hee-jin was fired against her will and she did not resign," said Min Hee-jin's legal team. Min Hee-jin's camp emphasized that the decision violated the agreement of the shareholders in a meeting held some time ago.
Because, Min Hee-jin was declared to remain as CEO after HYBE was prohibited from providing voting rights as the largest shareholder in ADOR. Min Hee-jin ensured that the agreement was still valid so that she could not be removed just like that. Her party even accused HYBE as the mastermind behind Min Hee-jin's ouster.
"And the ADOR board of directors has unilaterally informed Min Hee-jin that she will only be in charge of production (of NewJeans)," he continued. "This is deceiving the public because it seems as if Min Hee-jin stepped down from the CEO position of her own free will and only contributed to production duties," said Min Hee-jin's side.
Min Hee-jin was announced to be stepping down as ADOR CEO after going through various dramas with parent company HYBE. However, she is said to still be contributing to the agency, especially for the upcoming NewJeans project.
The position of ADOR CEO was immediately replaced by Kim Joo-young who was introduced as a personnel expert to stabilize ADOR's internal organization. "Min Hee-jin will become an internal director and will continue his duties in the NewJeans project. Therefore, ADOR's production and administration areas will be carried out separately," ADOR said in an official statement on Tuesday August 27, 2024.
