SEVENTEEN's Mingyu recently filmed a beauty product advertisement that required him to go shirtless. The visual of the K-pop group SEVENTEEN was shown rinsing his body after using soap. A number of fans were emotional when they realized that the employee of the French beauty product had secretly taken a photo of SEVENTEEN's Mingyu shirtless with his phone.

Not only that, Mingyu's photo was spread via Instagram Story. The Instagram Story upload of the beauty product employee immediately went viral, drawing the ire of SEVENTEEN Mingyu fans. Her actions were considered a form of sexual harassment and a violation of privacy.

"Mingyu took over most of my photo album... I was too nervous to delete it, but maybe now I'll organize it in an album," the beauty product employee wrote while sharing a photo of SEVENTEEN's Mingyu on Instagram Story. A series of photos of Mingyu SEVENTEEN bare-chested without clothes are seen.

Some photos from the Instagram Story screenshots that were spread were censored by fans to protect SEVENTEEN's Mingyu privacy. A number of CARATs (a fan name for the K-pop group SEVENTEEN) also called for condemnation of the attitude of the cosmetic product employee. L'Occitane Korea finally apologized for the indecent behavior of its employees.

L'Occitane Korea also took firm action by firing the employee. "This is L'Occitane Korea. We sincerely apologize for the recent incident with the release of unauthorized photos from L'Occitane's Asia Ambassador campaign, which were unofficially shared on one of our employees' social media accounts.

We acknowledge no excuse for this offense and take full responsibility for what has happened." "We take this matter very seriously and we deeply regret the harm caused to the artist (SEVENTEEN's Mingyu) and fans. We express our sincere apologies." "The employee involved has been completely dismissed and is being subjected to strict action.

In order to prevent incidents like this in the future, we will implement a comprehensive and regular training program for all employees. This program will emphasize the importance of respecting the copyrights, portrait rights, publicity rights, and privacy of our Brand Ambassadors," the brand said in a statement following criticism from SEVENTEEN Mingyu's fans.
