BLACKPINK's Rose officially made a solo comeback with the release of her latest single featuring Bruno Mars titled APT. On Friday October 18, 2024. The song is Rose's first single after collaborating with global label Atlantic Records. APT. was released simultaneously with a music video (MV) uploaded on YouTube.

The MV features Rose and Bruno Mars joking around in a studio with a pink background for almost three minutes. The music video opens with an intro inspired by a South Korean game. They say the word  apateu,  which means apartment, over and over again. Rose and Bruno Mars appeared in unison wearing costumes like a rock star.

They wore black leather jackets with a background of drums and guitar amplifiers like a garage rock band. The two then dance energetically as the song reaches the chorus. They also demonstrate traditional Korean games that are usually played while drinking alcohol.

MV APT. then closed with the studio lights partially turned off so that Rose and Bruno Mars were only silhouettes. They ended the performance by posing like people dancing. This APT single is the first release from Rose's first full album titled rosie. The album contains 12 songs and is planned for release on December 6, 2024.

However, there is no list of song titles from the upcoming album yet. Rosie is the musician's first project after signing under The Black Label, the agency that handles all of her solo activities. Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's group activities are still managed by YG Entertainment.

Rose debuted as BLACKPINK's main vocalist in 2016. The musician, whose full name is Roseanne Park, then started her solo career in 2021 through the single R. On the Ground, the album's title track, immediately achieved rapid success, topping the Billboard Global 200 chart.

In June 2024, Rose announced that she had signed a contract with The Black Label following Rose's departure from YG Entertainment. The Black Label said Rose will be involved in world music activities by collaborating with the Atlantic Records label for future plans.
