Following an incident involving an underage fan, rapper Jessi was announced to be leaving her agency, DOD, after just 1 month of joining. Quoting from Soompi on Friday October 18, 2024, previously on September 29, 2024, it was reported that a fan of Jessi who is still a minor, let's call her 'A', asked to take a photo with the idol.

However, he was rejected, and ended up getting verbal and physical attacks from people who were near Jessi at that time. The incident took place in Gangnam, Seoul. Jessi had tried to stop the attack, but then left the scene.

After the incident went viral, Jessi admitted that she did not know the person who attacked her fan. She has apologized to the victim, and made sure the perpetrator apologizes and gets the punishment he deserves. On the other hand, the people who were at the scene were later sued by the victim, including Jessi.

They are currently under investigation for assault and other cases. The Gangnam Police have summoned Jessi as a suspect for questioning on October 16, 2024. Two days later, Jessi's agency DOD released an official statement that they had terminated their exclusive contract with the rapper.

"Hello, this is DOD, we would like to once again apologize for causing concern due to the recent news. After a long discussion regarding Jessi's future activities, we have decided to terminate the contract with Jessi as of October 18, 2024.

In accordance with the artist's request through careful consideration," said DOD. "Although this collaboration was short-lived, we are grateful to Jessi for her time with us. We also sincerely wish her the best in her future career. Thank you," concluded DOD.

Meanwhile, earlier this year Jessi just ended her contract with the agency MORE VISION founded by singer Jay Park. She then joined DOD last month. This was the shortest collaboration for both parties because only within 1 month of joining Jessi, she got into trouble, and was forced to end her contract.
