OH MY GIRL's Arin has won part of the modeling fee lawsuit filed against a mobile game company and an advertising production company. According to News 1 on October 17, 2024, the Seoul Central District Court's 34th Civil Division partially ruled in favor of the plaintiffs in a modeling fee lawsuit filed by Arin's agency, WM Entertainment, against a mobile game company and an advertisement production company.

The court ordered, "The two companies must jointly pay Arin's entire advertising modeling fee of 198 million won and compensation for delay." In June 2023, mobile game company A signed a mobile game advertising agency contract with advertising production company B and remitted half of the modeling fees and television commercial production fees.

After signing the contract, Arin appeared in the advertisement as a model, and the advertisement was first uploaded in August 2023. According to the contract, both companies must pay the modeling fee within 30 days from the date the advertisement was first uploaded, but WM Entertainment did not receive the modeling fee from them.

In the lawsuit, A argued, “It has been established that Arin’s modeling fee should be paid to the agency through B, and the modeling fee has been paid to B.” However, the court ruled, "The contract in question stipulates A's obligation to pay the model fee.

Considering the motive, circumstances, and purpose of the contract, even if A pays the advertising model fee to B, A cannot avoid the responsibility to pay the model fee unless the model fee is deposited into the agency's account." The court also ruled, “The loss suffered by A due to B not paying the modeling fee received from A to the agency must be resolved through the advertising agency contract between the two companies, etc.”
