American actress, Sydney Sweeney was once accused of being a 'sugar baby' for having a romantic relationship with a man 13 years her senior. Now the 'Euphoria' star is denying the accusations.

The term 'sugar baby' refers to a person, usually a woman, who enters into a relationship with an older or wealthier person (known as a 'sugar daddy' or 'sugar mommy') in the hope of receiving financial support or expensive goods.

The 27-year-old told Glamour magazine that she is not supported by anyone, not even her fiancé, Jonathan Davino. Sydney said that she is an independent woman who works hard to support herself. "I'm a very successful, very hard-working, independent woman," she said, as quoted by Pagesix.

Not only does Sydney finance his life, he also helps his family's economy. "I have achieved and bought everything myself, and I support myself and my family," she said. Sydney stated that she wants to separate her romantic relationships from her career as an actress and film producer.

She believes that a woman can achieve success without the help of a man. "You can have a healthy romantic relationship with someone and also be very successful without that guy's help," she said. "We're teammates.

We're in this together. And we want to see each other succeed," Sydney continued. Having been dating since 2018, Sydney and Jonathan got engaged in March 2022. Jonathan is known as a 40-year-old businessman from Chicago, USA.
