Celebrity lookalike contest fever is sweeping the United States, with more and more fans joining in to revive their iconic styles. Most recently, a Jungkook lookalike contest held in Chicago has finally found its winner.

Of the many people who participated, there were three top ones chosen by the committee. Andrew Alexander, a third-year college student living in California, became the winner of the BTS look-alike contest . He came with his two sisters, and immortalized the moment through content on the YouTube channel uploaded on Monday November 25, 2024.

In the video, Andrew is seen dressing casually imitating Jungkook's style. He combines an oversized T-shirt with a black puffer jacket, and acid-wash gray jeans. What is interesting here is that Andrew also shows off tattoos and piercings on his eyebrows and lips which are Jungkook's trademarks.

When his name was announced as the winner, Andrew could not hide his joy. He received a prize of a bottle of soju and $20 in cash. Andrew himself is also a YouTuber with around 260,000 subscribers. After investigating, he is already known by American ARMY (the name for BTS fans) because of his resemblance to Jungkook.

Several old videos and moments of Andrew showing his resemblance to Jungkook, although not 100 percent, have also been circulating. Although Andrew's face can't be said to be similar to Jungkook's, netizens still gave him praise. Andrew's handsome face is said to remind fans of Jungkook when he was a teenager.

" Andrew is actually the only one who looks like Jungkook, the others really have no resemblance at all ," commented a netizen. " Andrew really does the cutest thing." Another comment read , "said another. " Very appropriate! " said another. On the other hand, some netizens on platform X denied Andrew's resemblance to Jungkook.

However, others praised the fun atmosphere of the event, which is ultimately about having fun. " He looks a bit like him (Jungkook) ," said a netizen. " He doesn't look like Jungkook, but he conquered the piercing ," another said. " Let's just assume this is just for fun ," said another account.
