Happy news comes from actor Kim Dong Jun who confirmed that he will star in the latest Korean drama, titled New Recruit season 3, which carries a military theme. Quoting from Soompi on Wednesday November 20, 2024, on November 19, 2024, STARNEWS reported that Kim Dong Jun had been selected to play a role in Season 3 of New Recruit.
In response to the reports, Kim Dong Jun’s agency MAJOR9 confirmed, “It is true that Kim Dong Jun will be appearing on New Recruit 3.” New Recruit is a Korean drama based on the popular YouTube animation of the same name from Studio JBBJ.
The drama is a black comedy that delves into the lives of young adults in their 20s, exploring the culture, secrets, and absurdities of the South Korean military. The first season premiered in July 2022, followed by the second season in August 2023. Then the third season will take the story to a higher level.
Season 3 features Park Min Seok (Kim Min Ho) on his journey to becoming a Corporal, a more ruthless Company Commander, Oh Seung Yoon (Kim Ji Suk), and the arrival of an unprecedented new member. In this drama, Kim Dong Jun will play the role of Jeon Se Gye, a very elite and world-famous actor.
