Byeon Woo Seok donated some of his wealth to help child patients. The man who is nicknamed as having a heart as pure as oxygen donated 300 million won to Severance Hospital. This news has also been confirmed by representatives of Severance Hospital while expressing their gratitude to Byeon Woo Seok.
"Thanks to the donations given, many child patients were able to receive treatment," said a representative of Severance Hospital as quoted by Soompi, on Thursday November 5, 2024. Responding to the report, VARO Entertainment as Byeon Woo Seok's agency gave a response.
"It is true that Byeon Woo Seok has donated. It was done personally," said Varo Entertainment. Byeon Woo Seok gained huge popularity this year through his role as Ryu Sun Jae in the drama Lovely Runner. After the drama ended, the actor held a fan meeting tour in Asia.
The South Korean actor, born on October 31, 1991, held 12 fan meeting events in eight cities, including Jakarta. Recently, Byeon Woo Seok was also named the new brand ambassador for Italian luxury fashion house, Prada.
